Must be 18+ to write. MINORS WILL BE BLOCKED IC is not OOC, do not confuse what my character says with what I think. Adonis is Multiverse and Multiship for now. Do not hop into the DMs looking for a ship. Please read the trigger warnings below before writing (I do not have any triggers myself) If I feel uncomfortable, I will contact you in the DMs and I trust that you will do the same if you feel uncomfortable with something. Marauders EraAdonis Avery was born on October 21st, 1957 to Elizabeth Avery (nee Steward) and Harrison Avery. He was not a spoiled child growing up, but he was still heir to one of the Sacred 28 family lines and most certainly a pureblood.Upon his eleventh birthday, he was accepted into Hogwarts, and was quickly sorted into Slytherin, not that he would have accepted anything less. While he was excited to begin learning at first, he soon became rather bored with the lessons that were too easy to keep his attention, and the students that did little else but gossip.By the time his 7th year rolled around, his father, Harrison, had already sat down with him and given him the talk of what would be expected of him in the coming years.He was expected to find a wife and produce an heir, and he should have felt lucky that his father was not arranging a marriage for him. He was expected to join the Dark Lord and take his mark if accepted. He was expected to be the perfect image of what it was to be a pureblood wizard.He had no issue with joining the Dark Lord of course, in fact, he had looked forward to the day that it would finally be his turn to earn his mark. His issue lay in the fact that he didn't want a wife. Not now, nor ever.Adonis Avery was gay. It was something that his parents did not particularly care about, but regardless of how he felt, they would still demand a legitimate heir from him in order for the Avery line to continue.He often wished that this responsibility didn't have to fall to him, and truly it didn't at first. Not until his eldest brother had been disowned. That was when everything fell to him.Golden Trio EraHis parents soon passed after the war. His father was hit by a rogue spell during a raid, and his mother left him shortly after, a broken heart claiming her life. Neither of them lived to see their grandchild. Mainly because Adonis had been doing everything he could to avoid taking a wife that he would not love.The night of the Potter's death, however. The night their lord fell. Sirius Black, a man that he had kept in contact with over the years, using him for information as he did not know of Avery's loyalty to the dark lord, had come to Adonis with a child. He said it was the Potter boy and that he was trusting Adonis with him.Adonis could hardly say no to taking the child that had just defeated his lord. Sirius was quick to run off and it wasn't until the morning after that Adonis saw the news of how he was sentenced to Azkaban and that the Potter child was missing.He quickly gathered his things before taking Hadrian to the Ministry of Magic, telling them all he knew about what had happened. Seeing as Sirius had been his godfather, and the boy had no other family suitable to take him, the Ministry granted Adonis' request for adoption.Adonis Avery now had the heir his family wanted, and it was the Potter boy no less. The dark lord had wanted to destroy this boy but Adonis would raise him instead. Raise him to hold their ideals that way he could align with the dark lord should he ever return instead of being a weapon to be used against him.He could only hope that when his lord returned, the man would be pleased with what Adonis had done for him.
